First Cadastre of Großheppach
Was is a first Cadastre?
An first cadastre of a town is the first inventory of buildings and properties. In Großheppach, one from 1832 has been preserved. The inventory includes a map and the corresponding register. The buildings are numbered according to the order in which they were located within the village. The respective owners are listed, along with the description, type, and size of the properties. Fortunately, house numbers were also added later—if they were still standing.
You can find a copy of the original cadastre HERE. I apologize that it’s in German but a translation would be very effortful. Maybe someday.
