Internet data bases
In gerneral infroamtion from data bases are often with failures. This can be read everyware, but due to the fact that the amount of data becomes bigger and bigger, it is a great temptation to take over these information without any check. On the other hand it is a great relief for those who have no access to the sources.

Vague or wrong data are spreaded in the net in the same speed as correct ones. This is the reason that often same wrong data can be found in different data bases. They copy from each other without checking.

One method could be: Collect the data and make a cross check with the original data. You should get in contact to the owner of the data base. On the one side you propably will get addditional information (as the genealogist has normally much more information as he offers in the data base)  and you can share new information. In the least of all you will get rejection.
